Hi Vinni,
First we got Oracle 8i and then Oracle 9i, and i think "i" stands for internet, since they were marketing their database as the best database for the internet and e-business, but now the "i" is gone, and we have a "g"- Oracle 10g and i think "g" actually stands for "Grid", as the concept of Grid Computing is introduced. Now they are back with "i" again - 11i.
